Hacking in Cyberpunk (Opinion Poll)
For this week's poll, I'm hoping to gather some opinions about what makes hacking feel "right" in a cyberpunk setting. How much detail do you need, how many special rules, and what kind of resolution should it have? I also added a section on your formative cyberpunk influences, just to see...

Ironsworn Solo Actual Play
https://anchor.fm/whatdoiknowjr/episodes/Ironsworn-Rassas-Journey-Episode-01-env8tu I recorded a solo playthrough of Ironsworn, following my character Rassa and his pet wyvern Wit as they attempt to save Yule for a village that lost their ritual reindeer skull, which wards off the draugr on the nig...

Time for another question, should you be willing to indulge me.
This time around, I'm asking what it takes for you to want to pick up a new edition of a game. If you are so inclined, please swing by the survey and let me know what you think. Thanks!

What Do I Know About Opinions: Alignment
I'm looking at trying a new thing for the blog. I want to post an RPG/D&D/Geek related poll at the beginning of the week, and then revisit the topic at the end of the week after getting some responses. I thought I'd start "simple," with the most debated topic in the history of RPGs, al...

Star Trek Adventures Campaign Tracking Spreadsheets
I put together some Google Sheets for tracking various elements of Star Trek Adventures games, from log entries to reputation, to end of session questions, to sheets for extended tasks and the scientific method procedure: Federation Version https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BMZ_QfS1KL0GjVdZFmv...

Re: Star Wars/Genesys Dice Fatigue
There is part of me that really feels that maybe just a shift in how the rules are presented would help with this. The biggest problem I have is that, as written, the rules seem to present that different amount of threat and advantage need to provide different narrative weight and that both of those...

Re: S3E6 - The Abandoned
I loved the further exploration of the Jem'Hadar, but I'm also glad we got to revisit the structure of Jem'Hadar society, so the final word wasn't "guess we can't overcome their genetically engineered nature." The Jake subplot is really uncomfortable now. I feel like at the time, the write...

Re: S3E5 - Second Skin
I can't imagine the kind of trauma this would have caused Kira with her background. Kira's degree of healing seems to be measured by interactions with Cardassians. The fact that she can be friendly with a legate, and empathize with the manipulation the Obsidian Order visited upon him, shows that Kir...
