1) Marvel SAGA did have character creation rules in the main game. So did FASERIP Yellowbox. They were just sparse.

2) I have run a few sessions of Girl Genius in Savage Worlds. It works pretty well as long as you make the rules loose.

I would totally jump in a Fate based Girl Genius game. :-)

Underground sounds pretty sharp. Will have to research it.

Follow-up grab bag questions, "What property would you like to make a game for and would it be a custom or existing system?"

The old Privateers Comic Book

Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers (Which I have run in a couple of systems)

Oh, I had not thought of comic books as a source. Alien Legion the RPG could be awesome.

Never actually read it. Though it was a spin off of Legion of Super Heroes or L.E.G.I.O.N.

Unfortunately, Privateers never made it past Issue 2, but it was a fun read with simple designs and fun characters.

Princess, Inept Psionic Student, and Tough as Nails Action Girl team up to stop an Usurper and his magic wielding alien henchman. Plus non-hentai tentacle monsters, robots, pyrokinesis, and such.

Alien Legion is military action and political intrigue in a sci-fi version of the French Foreign Legion.

I read the first 70 or so pages of Underground. Wow, that's some harsh messed up shit. I like it.
It seems to be heavily inspired by Marshal Law.

I'm suprised Alien Legion doesn't get more love. The first RPG I designed was heavily influenced by that comic. Kind of a cross between Star Frontiers and Alien Legion.

(I have that first issue BTW.)
