Retreat Rules for D&D 5e

After having a discussion about PCs being able to extricate themselves from encounters that are too much for them to handle, I threw together some 5e rules for doing something similar to what 13th Age has built into its rules, the ability to retreat from a fight. In this case, it's a bit more granular that 13th Age's rules, so that it "feels" more in line with 5e's sensibilities.

I like that rules package quite a bit. It’s open enough for some fun narration and has the ability to provide an impact on campaign play. Nicely done.
