Re: S4E11 Data's Day

Solid episode, one of those ones where the SF is just there, nicely integrated into the background, and more evidence that Brent Spiner is actually the creamy moral center of this entire confection.

Re: S1E12 - Datalore

This is the first of the 'Brent Spiner shows off his acting chops' episodes and I love it for that.

Lore's jealousy over what Data has and he doesn't is laid down here, and it's just so perfectly toxic as we'll see in later episodes.

A high point of Season 1 afaiac.

Re: S4E9 Final Mission

A really good Wesley episode, very much setting up the next one, which is one of the better episodes of the series.

The show's willingness to let Picard get beat up has always stood it in very good stead.

Re: E4S7 - Reunion

"Hello son, sorry the show fridged your mother."

Ugh.

That said, I agree with Rob, the one cool Klingon thing they introduced early-on, the death-howl, is the one thing they backed away from. Shame.

Re: S4E2 Family

Good character episode, and as a Wesley defender, I'll put it up as a great example of the way that having him there brought out aspects of life in the future we'd never otherwise see. In general, I always wish the show did much more to examine how folks feel about death in a post-scarcity universe ...

Re: S3E26 - S4E1 - Best of Both Worlds (Part 1 and 2)

I don't have much to add because everyone here already has the correct opinion(s) of this masterpiece of SF television, right down to viewing Shelby differently through modern eyes. In hindsight, the drama round Patrick Stewart's possibly leaving the show added real-life tension around the character...

Re: S3E22 - the Most Toys

Really good Data episode, with the (once again) glaring-to-modern eyes exception of the bad guy fridging his assistant, a woman, for no other reason than to prove how terrible he is. That weapon would have been much scarier if they never actually showed it work. I always regretted that Fajo never re...

Re: S3 E18 - Allegiance

I was somewhat surprised by the presence of this episode on the list, one which I don't really think about unless it's right in front of me, but yeah, it's pretty decent, and indicative of the show just really finding it stride in Season 3. Don't worry, RobAbrazado there's 4 more ...

Re: S3E19 - Captain's Holiday

Risa is so totally awesome that even caverns deep underground that can only be easily reached by transporter have nice, soft lighting that really complements your complexion. The best thing about this episode is that it inspired a player in my game to make a Captain character who grew up on Risa. It...
