Re: S2E19 - Blood Oath

Not much to add; I, too, love this episode. On the surface, it's Klingon-heavy for sure, but I also like to think of it as quite a big Trill episode, too. The Trill symbiont/host lifecycle is such a rich vein to mine for exploring character relationships, and it always turns my head when we wade int...

Re: S2E15 - Shadow Play

Like I said, I've been mostly going off memory so far in DS9 Watch Club, but it's apparent that I only really remembered the "A" plot of this episode, so Phil's description of it does make me want to go back and give this another run-through. In my memory it was "fine" as, like.....

Re: S2E12 - The Alternate

Several times characters touch one of the obelisks, as if the obelisk is part of the overall mystery. The obelisk is by far the weirdest part of this episode for me. As you say, it feels like it gets centered a lot, but it seems to serve zero purpose, even just story purpose. Its oddness starts rig...

Re: S1E16 - The Foresaken

The big part that sticks with me from this episode (and probably will for all time) is Odo's "I don't eat! This is not a real mouth!" protestation. :D

Re: S1E15 - If Wishes Were Horses

I just remembered something...I saw a recording of an interview or a con appearance or some such where Colm Meaney said that originally "Rumpelstiltskin" was meant to be a leprechaun instead, but when he (Meaney) first saw the script he was basically, like, "Really? A leprechaun, you ...

Agh, this episode is tremendous and I love it. That's all I have to say about that.

Re: S1E15 - If Wishes Were Horses

Ha! I appreciate this. I haven't been keeping up with the DS9 Watch Club here in the early seasons, so I've just been going by memory, and I recall being not really enthused about this episode. BUT I did totally forget that this was the introduction of the baseball, so that's pretty big! :D

The Picard Video

I promised myself I'd wait to post this until the TNG Watch Club had concluded, so now that that's happened, I'm pleased to share my favorite TNG fan creation of all time. This may be old hat to some of you, but also this is like 15 years old by now, which in Internet time means it's old enough hat ...
