S7E10 Inheritance

Post by Jared Rascher »

This episode says a lot about how far Dr. Soong's technology has advanced. It also kind of makes me wonder where Lore's "remains" are located. I won't elaborate further but . . . remains of Soong's work are kind of important.

Julia's husband rubbed me the wrong way, because of the cracks about Data and needing to double-check his work.

There are also a lot of moral implications to this episode. Data is a self-aware being that was allowed to develop as his own person. What does it mean to make a self-aware being that nevertheless is hard-wired to believe they are someone they are not?

Not that the theme might be explored sometime in the future or anything.

One could argue that this is a reasonable description of human beings. ;)
